You come for a day of skating at Jaap Eden rink, you are of course welcome! Our terms and conditions are drawn up so you know exactly what to expect from us.

These general terms and conditions apply to individual e-tickets, private lessons and registrations at Jaap Eden rink. Jaap Eden rink is the trade name of the Stichting IJscomplex Jaap Eden, established in Amsterdam at Radioweg 64 and registered in the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam under KvK number 41204870.

Registration / participation

Als je deelneemt aan een privéles, los bezoek of een registratiebezoek dan vraag je een overeenkomst aan bij Jaap Eden IJsbaan door middel van een aanschaf bij de informatiebalie of ticketautomaat van Jaap Eden ijsbaan of door een inschrijving op de website van Jaap Eden IJsbaan (jaapeden.nl).

By purchasing, you agree to the applicability of these terms and conditions and consent to your data being stored in Jaap Eden rink 's records and used for the purpose of this agreement.

The contract is concluded when Jaap Eden rink sends an e-mail confirming your visit or you receive a ticket via the cash register or ticket machine. The contract is valid for the duration of the lesson or your visit or for the validity of the article.

If there is insufficient interest in an activity or skating block it may be dropped from the program. In that case, you will receive a discount code for a visit in the current or next season or the credit will be restored to the card.

Accessed

Prior to your activity, you will receive an admission ticket.

If you lose your admission ticket, you can report to the information desk before your visit begins. If possible, access will still be granted.

multi-entry passes are basically not personalized. They can be registered several times a day. In special cases (e.g. pandemic) it may be decided to make multi-entry passes person-specific.

If a multi-entry pass is misused (e.g. on age rate or specific discount offer), the multi-entry pass will be blocked immediately without giving reasons without entitlement to refund and an entry ban will be issued.

Date and time of visit

In the attachment of your confirmation or on the purchased ticket you can find the QR code along with the reserved day and time. Entrance is possible until 30 minutes after the start of the block. In the confirmation you can find further useful information

By-products

If you ordered by-products through the online store, you can find the scan code and specific information about the pickup location in the attachment you received by email.

 

Other provisions

Jaap Eden rink reserves the right to make program changes. You will be informed of this in good time, no later than one week prior to the time of change. In the event of unforeseen (weather) conditions, Jaap Eden rink reserves the right to change the opening hours or close all or part of an accommodation at short notice. When closing, you will receive a discount code for both your visit and any (catering) additions that can be used in the current and next season. Trip card credits will be immediately restored to the pass.

Safety and house rules

Be aware that there are risks associated with sports practice. In order to offer skating fun to everyone, house rules have been drawn up. Thesehouse rules are published on the Jaap Eden rink website and can be requested at the information desk.

Liability

Jaap Eden rink is not liable for damage, mix-up, abandonment, loss and/or theft of your personal property in connection with your stay in and use of the rink and associated facilities.

The use of the 400-meter rink, scratch rink, ice hall and associated facilities is at the participant's own risk. Jaap Eden rink is not liable for (physical) damage of any kind suffered by the participant during or in connection with the use of the rink, associated facilities or materials made available, except in the event of wilful intent and gross negligence on the part of Jaap Eden rink.

Participants in activities are liable for all damage caused to Jaap Eden rink during or in connection with the stay in or use of the accommodations and/or associated facilities and/or materials made available, unless it is a matter of normal use or normal wear and tear.

In the event of technical failures of any kind, Jaap Eden rink cannot be held liable in any way.

Payment and collection

Your registration is final upon receipt of your entrance ticket and any additions. Payment is made through the online payment system, by debit card or cash payment at the information desk or ticket machine.

Cancellation policy, termination of participation and refunds

Your participation will automatically expire at the end of your visit.

Refunds for purchased tickets are not possible. However, it is possible to move your visit up to 1 hour before the start of the season if there is still a possibility to move your visit during the current season. Any catering additions can be rescheduled using the same system.

A private lesson can be cancelled/changed up to 5 business days before the start of the lesson.

Shorter-term moves will not be considered.

Choice of law and forum

These general terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes concerning or arising from or relating to an agreement concluded with Jaap Eden rink to which these general terms and conditions apply in whole or in part may be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
