Public transportation

Tram

Take the bus to the stop 'Kruislaan' or 'Middenweg'. From there, it is about a five-minute walk to the Jaap Eden IJsbaan.

Train

The train from Amsterdam Centraal (which also stops at Muiderpoort station) to Science Park, takes about 8 minutes. The walking distance from this station to the ice rink is no more than 5 minutes.

Bike

The Jaap Eden IJsbaan is easily accessible by bike. At the entrance there is a large bicycle shed.

Parking

Het verzoek is om zo veel als mogelijk met Openbaar Vervoer, fiets of lopend te komen. Is dat geen optie voor je? Dan kan je deze parkeren
op het parkeerterrein aan de Radioweg voor de ingang van de Jaap Eden IJsbaan. Hierbij het dringende verzoek om zo veel als mogelijk samen te rijden, zodat we samen het aantal verkeersbewegingen in de stad beperken.

Please note that the pay machines no longer accept change. It is possible to pay by debit or credit card or use a parking app such as Easypark (formerly Parkmobile).

Parking on Radio Road is available for €3.50 per hour from Monday to Saturday between 09:00 and 19:00. Between 19.00 and 09.00 and on Sundays there is no parking fee and parking is therefore free.

It is not possible to park on the grounds of the Jaap Eden IJsbaan.

Update parkeren: Vanaf 17 november 2025 gaan de nieuwe parkeertarieven in!

Starting Nov. 17, 2025, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., you will pay €1.60 per hour for the first 3 hours and €3.90 per hour thereafter. With the new rates, the municipality wants to strike a balance. Skaters can park cheaply thanks to the low starting rate, but the increasing rate discourages long parking, leaving more space for skating visitors.
