For the upcoming skating season (October 2023 to March 2024) we are looking for first aid workers at Jaap Eden.
What you will do
You and your colleagues will keep an eye on safety in and around the rink. You will be responsible for administering first aid; such as applying band-aids, escorting more severe cases to the ambulance and reporting in the first aid log.
In addition, you will answer questions and assist as needed to ensure everyone has a great day.

A place in a driven team at a unique location in Amsterdam. Hours based on your availability; fixed or flexible; whatever suits you. The average shift lasts 7 hours, both day and evening.
A salary of €14.08 gross per hour + travel reimbursement. The position can also be filled on a voluntary basis (at statutory volunteer compensation).

For next winter (October 2023 to March 2024) we are looking for information desk staff at the Jaap Eden IJsbaan.
What you will do
The information desk is located at the entrance to the ice rink. This makes you the face for the visitors of the ice rink. Regular visitors can go in by themselves with their membership card. If they have questions about their season ticket or membership card, they report to you.
Also (groups of) visitors who have reserved an activity or space will report to you upon arrival at the ice rink. You will show them around the grounds and inform your colleagues from the relevant departments of their arrival via walkie-talkie.
Besides contacting visitors, you answer incoming phone calls and emails and assist in booking (online) tickets. This makes you the link between the visitor and the various departments of the ice rink. This is an independent position in which you work most shifts alone.

- Masters the Dutch language well in word and writing (English is helpful)
- Are experienced with computers and working digitally; good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are a requirement

Welcome to cafe JAAP!
The schaatscafé of Amsterdam at the Jaap Eden IJsbaan. From your workplace you can see the skaters flash by over the atmospherically lit outdoor rink. From the fast Sven Kramers and Jutta Leerdams to the absolute beginners, and from young to old. Through the speakers sounds the signal of the mop break. Automatically you check your bar area; bar clean, fridges full, beer glasses lined up under the tap? The track empties and the bar fills up. Showtime!
Skating is inextricably linked to cake and cookies; you can't have one without the other. And that's where you come in. To provide our visitors with the ultimate 'koek en zopie' experience, we are looking for bartenders (catering experience is not required).

Offer a fantastic (side) job at an iconic location in Amsterdam. You will work within a versatile team of instructors, with an open and pleasant working atmosphere. The Jaap Eden Skating School team will train you internally as an instructor for the regular skating courses. You can also be deployed as an instructor for children's parties, holiday courses and school skating.
You will coordinate your working hours with the skating school planner, so you know exactly where you stand. You can grow and/or specialize in a specific target group.

Offer you a fantastic (side) job at an iconic location in Amsterdam with very flexible working hours from early in the morning until late at night. You will work within a versatile team of instructors with an open and pleasant working atmosphere. You will be trained internally as an instructor for the regular skating courses, but you can also be deployed as an instructor of private lessons or a combination of youth and adult lessons.
